Shawn Snead
(MS, ATC)
Like many who are drawn to the sports health and rehabilitation field, Shawn’s journey began during his high school athletic career when numerous injuries led him to various physical therapy clinics. Initially believing he would pursue physical therapy, Shawn attended George Mason University where he graduated with a degree in Health, Fitness, and Recreation Resources with a concentration in Kinesiology in 2014. While at Mason, Shawn pivoted away from physical therapy and instead continued his studies, obtaining his Master of Science in Athletic Training in 2019.
Prior to returning to the area with his family and joining Chiron in 2022, Shawn’s early career saw him working with student-athletes on the high school and collegiate level including developing and implementing preventative and rehabilitative programs to prevent injuries. Now in the setting he envisioned himself to be back in high school, Shawn brings his experience and his energy to helping people of all ages get back to the activities they enjoy. In addition, Shawn is currently participating in a fellowship program, receiving extensive training in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (MSKUS) Diagnostic Testing.
